Account Linking

Connect your Discord account to your ReadyRaider profile to unlock the full bot experience.

Why Link Your Account?

Linking your Discord account to your ReadyRaider profile enables actions that require identity verification and allows your activity to sync between platforms.

The /link Command

Use the /link command in any channel where the ReadyRaider bot is active.

Run the Command

Type /link in Discord. The bot responds with a "Link Account" button (only visible to you).

Click the Button

Clicking "Link Account" opens the ReadyRaider website in your browser with a secure linking token.

Sign In & Confirm

Sign in to your ReadyRaider account (or create one) and confirm the link. Your Discord account is now connected to your ReadyRaider profile.

Note

The linking response is ephemeral (only visible to you). Your link token is unique and expires after use. No one else can see or use it.

Already Linked?

If your account is already linked, running /link will tell you which ReadyRaider account you're connected to:

Your Discord account is already linked to ReadyRaider as YourUsername.

Alternative: Link from the Website

You can also link your Discord account from the ReadyRaider website:

Go to Profile Settings

Navigate to your profile settings at readyraider.com/profile.

Connected Accounts

Find the "Connected Accounts" section and click "Connect Discord".

Authorize via Discord OAuth

You'll be redirected to Discord to authorize the connection. Once confirmed, your accounts are linked.

Discord-Only Users

Users can interact with certain bot features without a ReadyRaider account:

  • •Raid signups — Discord-only users can sign up for raids in public squads. Their Discord username or mention is displayed instead of a ReadyRaider profile name.
  • •Viewing data — Anyone in the server can use view commands (list, view, standings, bracket).

Tip

After signing up for a raid as a Discord-only user, you'll see a hint: "Tip: Use /link to connect your ReadyRaider account for the full experience!"

Security & Privacy

Secure Token

The linking process uses a one-time, randomly-generated UUID token that expires after use. Tokens cannot be reused or guessed.

Ephemeral Responses

All /link responses are ephemeral (only visible to you). No one else can see your linking URL or token.

Permission Validation

All actions are validated server-side. The bot checks organization membership, team ownership, and role permissions before allowing any modifications.

Audit Logging

All mutations (raid creation, signups, match reports) are logged to an audit trail with the user's identity and Discord source information.
