Understand squad roles and what each permission level can do.
Overview
Every squad member has a role that determines what they can do. Roles create a hierarchy for managing your community effectively.
Role Hierarchy
OWNERFull Control
The squad creator has complete control. There can only be one Owner.
- • Everything Admins can do, plus:
- • Delete the squad entirely
- • Transfer ownership to another member
- • Promote/demote Admins
- • Access billing and subscription settings
ADMINManagement
Trusted members who help run the squad. Multiple Admins allowed.
- • Everything Members can do, plus:
- • Invite and remove members
- • Accept/deny join requests
- • Edit squad settings and description
- • Create and manage raids
- • Register squad for tournaments/leagues
- • Manage raid signups and attendance
MEMBERParticipation
Regular squad members. The default role for new members.
- • View squad page and member list
- • Participate in squad activities
- • Sign up for raids
- • Represent the squad in competitions
- • Leave the squad voluntarily

Changing Member Roles
To change a member's role:
- Go to your squad's member list
- Click on the member or their menu
- Select "Change Role"
- Choose the new role
Note
Only the Owner can promote members to Admin or demote Admins to Member.
Best Practices
Keep Admin Count Reasonable
Too many Admins can create confusion. Promote only those who need management access.
Define Clear Responsibilities
If you have multiple Admins, decide who handles what (raids, recruitment, events).
Have a Backup Admin
Promote at least one trusted member to Admin in case you're unavailable.
Don't Over-Promote
Members don't need Admin to participate. Only promote when someone needs management permissions.
Important Restrictions
- Admins cannot remove other Admins (only Owner can)
- Admins cannot promote members to Admin (only Owner can)
- The Owner cannot leave without transferring ownership
- Deleted squads cannot be recovered
