Everything you need to know about Squads
A Squad is your gaming community hub on ReadyRaider. It's where you organize your team, guild, or group of gaming friends. Squads can host tournaments, schedule raids, manage members, and build a following. Think of it as your gaming organization's home base.
Creating a Squad is free and takes less than a minute. Simply sign in, click 'Create Squad', choose a name and URL slug, add a description, and optionally upload a banner and icon. You can customize your Squad's appearance and invite members immediately.
With a Squad, you can: host and manage tournaments with automated brackets, schedule raids and events for your members, invite and manage team members with different roles, build a public profile to attract new members, track your community's growth with follower counts, and integrate with Discord for notifications.
Yes, creating and managing a Squad on ReadyRaider is completely free. There are no hidden fees, member limits, or premium tiers required. You get full access to tournament hosting, raid scheduling, and member management at no cost.
Squads work with any game! Popular uses include MMO guilds (World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV, Guild Wars 2), FPS clans (Valorant, Counter-Strike, Call of Duty), Battle Royale teams (Fortnite, Apex Legends), MOBA teams (League of Legends, Dota 2), and looter shooter fireteams (Destiny 2, The Division).
Members can join your Squad in several ways: through a direct invite link you share, by finding your Squad on the public directory and requesting to join, or by being invited directly by an admin. You control who can join and can set your Squad to public or private.
Absolutely! Squads are the perfect way to organize competitive events. You can create single elimination, double elimination, or round robin tournaments directly from your Squad page. Brackets are automatically generated and results are tracked.
Raids are scheduled group events for your Squad. Perfect for MMO raid nights, practice sessions, or any recurring gaming events. Members can sign up, indicate their role or character, and you can manage attendance all in one place. Great for WoW raids, FFXIV savage content, Destiny raids, and more.
