Running Your Tournament

Start, manage, and complete your tournament from bracket generation to final results.

Tournament Lifecycle

A tournament goes through several stages from creation to completion:

1
Draft— Setting up your tournament
2
Published— Open for registration
3
Check-in— Confirming active participants (optional)
4
In Progress— Matches being played
5
Completed— All matches finished, results final

Starting the Tournament

When you're ready to begin:

  1. 1
    Close Registration

No more participants can join once registration closes.

  2. 2
    Run Check-in (Optional)

If enabled, wait for the check-in window to complete.

  3. 3
    Generate Bracket

Click "Generate Bracket" to create matchups based on seeding.

  4. 4
    Start Tournament

Click "Start Tournament" to open the first round of matches.

Warning

Once you generate the bracket, you cannot add or remove participants without regenerating. Make sure your participant list is final.

Results can be reported by organizers or participants (if allowed):

  2. Enter the score for each participant
  3. Click "Submit Result"

Participant Reporting

If enabled, participants can report their own match results:

Handling Common Issues

Player No-Shows

If a player doesn't show up for their match, you can mark them as forfeit or disqualify them. Set a time limit for how long you'll wait.

Disputed Results

When participants report conflicting results, review any evidence (screenshots, VODs) and make a final ruling as organizer.

Technical Issues

For server issues or disconnects, decide whether to replay the match, use the current score, or make another ruling.

Completing the Tournament

Once all matches are finished:

  1. Verify all results are correct
  2. Click "Complete Tournament" to finalize
  3. Final standings and placements are locked
  4. Participants can view their final placement

Note

Completed tournaments remain visible for historical reference. You can always view past brackets and results.
